Background:
Chittagong, a major city undergoing rapid industrial and commercial expansion with significant tourism activities, faces a shortage of standard hotels and shopping complexes despite its status as the second-largest city in Bangladesh, prompting Bangladesh Railway to propose a shopping complex-cum-guest house on PPP basis on its unused land near Chittagong station, aiming to meet the demand for accommodation and modern shopping facilities while optimizing commercial value and enhancing the overall user experience for rail passengers.
Objective:

The objectives of this project are:
•  To render standard accommodation and shopping facilities to the general people of Chittagong as well as BR’s employees.
•  To increase revenue earning potential of Bangladesh Railway.
•  To ensure more efficient utilization of Bangladesh Railway assets.

Construction of commercial shopping complex-cum-guest house facilities
