Background: |
The project entails the establishment of a solar power plant at various suitable locations within Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar. These locations include Sheikh Hasina Sorobor (Artificial Lake), canal slopes, embankments of the superdyke, and rooftops of BEZA-owned buildings. The solar power plant will encompass floating solar panels (installed at Sheikh Hasina Sorobor), ground-mounted solar panels, and rooftop solar power plants. Implementation of the project will follow a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with a private partner responsible for the development and maintenance of the power plant. Additionally, an offtake agreement will be established with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).

Project Scope: |
a) Installation of Floating Solar PV (FSPV) at Sheikh Hasina Sarovar and Ichakhali Canal.
b) Installation of Ground Mounted PV (GMPV) at the Super Dyke area countryside slope section.
c) Installation of rooftop Solar PV at various BEZA-owned buildings, including the Admin Building, Dormitory Building, Accommodation Shed, Emergency Response Centre, Childcare building, Club House and Skill Development Centre.
